Rucking The Ruins

2 Kings, Chapter 12

Synopsis: Joash is now King of Judah. He is deemed good. He decided to repair the temple using the money collected from the people. After 23 years pass by Joash wants to know why the temple hasn’t been fixed. The priests have been taking the money but make changes and work begins. The money collected was given to workers only, not invested in new trinkets. Now, about this time Hazael, King of Aram, shows back up and is attacking Judah. Joash uses this as an opportunity to get rid of a bunch of sacred objects, I think many of were either to false gods or given by evil king ancestors, by giving them to Hazael. Hazael is appeased and backs away.
